The first employee of Minco Development Corporation, Karen has filled many roles for the company since 1982.
Most recently, she has worked on permitting residential real estate development projects, with a specialty in affordable housing, such as Maritime Landing, Powder Mill Square, Kittredge Crossing, Riding Academy Preserve, Oakridge Village and Maplewood Reserve totaling more than 750 units since 2000.
In 2005 and 2006, she contributed her expertise to the development of residential projects in Florida in Delray Beach and Fort Lauderdale. She also has public sector planning experience in Essex County with the Merrimack Valley Planning Commission and the City of Lawrence.
Additionally, she is part-owner of Resolution Properties, Inc. which develops and manages homes for people who are mentally challenged and physically impaired. She has held active roles in permitting several major housing developments as well as holding a membership interest in North Andover Holdings LLC.
Karen holds a Master’s Degree in Regional Planning from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York-Albany.
She holds a Real Estate Salesperson’s license in Massachusetts and formerly held a Commercial General Real Estate Appraiser’s license. Karen has resided in Newburyport since 1980 and is a long time member of the American Yacht Club.
